Planned Sydney Sweeney Cameo Reportedly Chopped from The Devil Wears Prada 2

A short scene featuring Sydney Sweeney has reportedly been left out of the final cut of The Devil Wears Prada 2, according to Entertainment Weekly.

Entertainment Weekly reports a source explained that Sweeney had filmed a scene intended to be a part of a sequence re-introducing Emily Blunt’s character from the original film to the sequel’s story. However, it was found the scene did not work as intended and a “creative decision” was made to trim it out entirely.

Sweeney was reportedly playing herself in the scene.

For her part, The Housemaid and Euphoria star is already quite busy elsewhere, with production on Netflix’s live-action Gundam film kicking off this week in Queensland, Australia. Sweeney is leading the film alongside Noah Centineo, who we’ll see as Ken Masters in the upcoming Street Fighter film (which Centineo also shot Down Under late last year).
